- 'Jazz and the City: Identity of a Capital of Jazz' is an arts-based research project funded by the Austrian Science Fund FWF (project number AR 86). The project is carried out at the institutes of jazz and jazz research at the University of Music and Performaing Arts in Graz. The project team involves project leader Prof. Dr. Franz Kerschbaumer (head of jazz research), Prof. Ed Partyka (head of jazz) and the artist/researcher Dr. Mag.Art. Michael Kahr (MMus.), who developed the project idea and wrote the grant proposal. Contact: michael.kahr@kug.ac.at
