What an honour – Michael Kahr received the Erzherzog-Johann-Forschungspreis des Landes Steiermark 2018 for my book Jazz & the City: Jazz in Graz von 1965 bis 2015 (Leykam, 2016). The award acknowledges the quality of his work and underlines the relevancy of jazz for the cultural history of the region (unfortunately the book is sold out, but there is a new edition underway).
